Inside 15 minutes France took the lead by number 11, Kadidiatou Diani after a great chip in from the left by Sakina Karachaoui it allowed an easy headed finish from the striker from 6 yards out.
Not long after it was 2, with a great pull back from Diani she plays it to Kenza Dali, where she cushioned it into the bottom left. Straight after the 2nd there was a 3rd in the 23rd minute from Eugenie Le Sommer as a deflected clearance from the Moroccan defender, Nesryne El Chad, ended up right at her feet, where she couldn’t miss.
After the Moroccans great defensive display again Colombia in their last game, they were not on the same page in the first half today.
It was nearly 4 just before half time after a defensive mix up nearly laid Diani through for her second but Khadija Er- Rmichi managed to scramble it away.

The Atlas Lionesses came out in the second half a lot better than the first, they managed to create a few chance but none managed to beat French goalkeeper, Pauline Peyraud Magnin.
The first yellow card of the game came in the 57th minute after a bad foul from Ait El Haj on Le Sommer.
After finding their feet again in the second half, The French did get their 4th in the 71st minute and it was Le Sommer again at the back post after a great cross in from the right by, Vicki Becho.
After having full control of the match, France are the team that will progress to the next round.

France will play the host nation Australia on Saturday, where the winner will play either England or Colombia in the Semi-finals.
