A decade of Emma Hayes.

Emma Hayes is one of the most successful English managers in history and has overseen the

Blues for the past 10 years.

Over the past decade, Emma has won 5 WSL Titles, 4 FA Cups, 2 League Cups and has

reached a Champions League final as well, where they lost to Barcelona 4-0.

The question is, where next for Emma?

Emma was asked what destination she would like to go to next, after her reign at Chelsea

ends. She responded by saying that there is no better club to go to in the world, and that

she is very happy where she is.

Last season, in a post match interview, she got questioned whether it would be better to go

to men’s football as it will be better for her career. The reporter continued to state that a position at AFC Wimbledon had opened up and that it will be a great move for her. Hayes was outraged by the comment and said, “Don’t ever underestimate women’s football, Chelsea Ladies are one of, if not, the best Women’s football teams in the world and for me to transition into League 2, just to be a men’s team coach is an insult".

Emma Hayes has stated multiple times that Kingsmeadow is like her second home and that

she is very comfortable at Chelsea. She believes that she has a great engagement and connection with both the fans, and players. But how much longer until she can get her hands on the infamous Champions League trophy.

The Blues are currently unbeaten in their Champions League run this season being three wins from three, looking very likely that they’ll sit comfortably at the top of the table.

But are the strong forces of Bayern Munich and Barcelona too much for them, and having never won a European Trophy, could the

pressure get to them.
