Have Tottenham Hotspur finally found their groove?

Having won their last four games in all competitions including an emphatic win at Old Trafford, it is safe to say that Tottenham are certainly playing with confidence once again.

Spurs had a turbulent start to the season with the fans not knowing how to feel about the team's ambitions, having only one win in their first four games in a dominating affair against Everton.

However, both of their games against tougher opposition to that point, such as Newcastle and Arsenal ended in disappointing and frustrating losses for the side, especially to an Arsenal side missing key players due to injury.

However, since this point, Tottenham mustered out a last gasp comeback against Coventry which advanced them into the next round of the Carabao Cup. Spurs carried the momentum of this moment into their next game which was a comfortable 3-1 win over Brentford, despite going down by a goal rather early on.

From this, Spurs would open their Europa League campaign scoring three goals at home once again in a 3-0 win over Qarabag. All of this momentum led to what was an emphatic win and overall confidence booster for the team and fans alike with a 3-0 win at Old Trafford. It was not just the win however that had fans excited for how the season could unfold.

The way Spurs has played as of late could be reminiscent of the start of last season under Postecoglou.

The players seem to be playing with such confidence, especially Brennan Johnson, who has scored in all four of these games that Tottenham have won in the last two weeks, including the opener against Manchester United. The man who asissted him in that game however caught many eyes too.

Mickey Van Der Ven's assist personified how much of a threat he can be on the front foot as well as in his rock solid defensive efforts. Van Der Ven's run through the whole right-hand side of the Red Devils epitomises the confidence that the team has been able to slowly instil back into their performances on the field after a disappointing end to what looked like a promising season last year as well as a lacklustre August in regards to results.

With Spurs still having their next European adventure as well as an away trip to Brighton in the next week, this is the perfect time for them to hit their stride once again as a team and improve on their fifth place position last year.
